The blesbuck is a medium-sized antelope; the target of the blesbuck is scale 1:1 showing a very slight angled broadside shot. Normal shooting distance 50–300 meters.
The thin yellow lines on the blesbuck indicate the kill zones of the blesbuck. The outer line indicates the back and neck spine area. The next smaller line indicates the lung area. The next line indicates the lung and heart area
and inside that area is the heart area with a small circle which is used for scoring purposes at shooting competitions. The head also has a kill zone indicated, but headshots are only recommended for an experienced marksman
